Our member Lina Eisenberg was awarded the first price in the "Abraham4peace" paper challenge for her policy briefing dealing with the new Abraham Accords.

The Abraham Accords are a milestone development not only for Israel but for the whole Middle East that have led to fundamental changes and developments in the region.
New agreements in economical, military, agricultural and civil areas have been signed as a result of the Abraham Accords. Unfortunately this development has not drawn proper attention in Germany or Europe, leaving the continent unable to play a proper role in the changing Middle East.
In her essay Lina focusses on achievements in technology and innovation that have been contributed to and derived as a result of the newly established Abraham Accords. She´s giving insights to the broad network of cooperation areas and is pointing out how Germany and Europe could get involved.

About the Abraham4peace paper challenge:
"The European Leadership Network (ELNET) in cooperation with the Young Forum of the German-Israeli Society (JuFo DIG) invited to the paper challenge. The topic of the competition was the normalization process between Israel and its neighboring Arab states. Three contributions from participants from Germany and Israel were awarded. The award ceremony took place at the ELNET Annual Reception on June 1, 2022, on the occasion of Israel's Independence Day."
About the autor:
Lina Eisenberg, born in 1997, is studying medicine at the University of Leipzig. As part of her studies, she spent a year at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where she also began her doctoral studies. Lina is a founding member of the Junges Forum Israel and a scholarship holder of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom.
