Yesterday we held the first meeting of the new Junges Forum Israel in the German-Israeli Chamber of Commerce, Tel Aviv. But not every organization has a start like ours.

We did not let the security tensions lock us inside our houses.
The last days emphasized again how essential is the co-operation between Israel and Germany. We are both tied with a shared history: From a Jewish community in Germany that flourished for centuries to one of humanity’s darkest chapters ever. Every day we must fight against the circles who undermine Israel’s character as Jewish and democratic, and Germany’s character as a federal republic. Delegitimization movements and right/left extremist factions are threatening the stability of the two states. The protection of these values is the duty we all owe to the victims of the atrocities of Nazism, and the ones that survived its horrors. This is the main principle of the two states’ relation. The responsibility of these values and the future of our relations landed on our shoulders, the young generation.
Right now, we are gradually building a new community of great people who share this same vision. The programs and events we are planning seek to put our vision into practice and strengthen the ties between the young generation of the two countries. We hope that our first meeting would be a starting point of something big which is soon to come.
And as for today's fragile situation in Israel - Speak up, go to rallies and act against the circles who deny Israel’s right for existence: Whether they are in Germany, Europe or the Middle East. Raise your voice and stand with us against terrorism.
We will not let any rocket demoralize us!
